Privacy Policy

Pre-Launch Notice: WearQuick is currently in a pre-launch validation phase. This policy describes our current website and pilot-interest data practices, alongside our intended commercial data principles. Founding pilot participants will receive a separate pilot consent notice before any prototype-session or biometric signal data is collected.

1. Introduction & Accountability

At WearQuick Inc. ("WearQuick", "we", "us", or "our"), safeguarding your data is a foundational principle. We are committed to transparency in how we handle information, adhering to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian provincial privacy laws.

WearQuick has assigned privacy accountability internally. Privacy inquiries can be directed to info@wearquick.ca using the details at the bottom of this policy.

2. Identifying Purposes & Information We Collect

We collect information solely to provide, improve, and secure our smart athleisure ecosystem. We do not collect information indiscriminately.

  • Pilot Interest Data: Name, email, location, and athletic style provided through our pilot application forms. This is used solely to evaluate cohort fit for our founding pilot program.
  • Intended Biometric Signal Exploration: For pilot participants, we intend to evaluate signal pathways including Heart Rate Trends, Electromyography (EMG) muscle-activity exploration, SpO2 signal pathways, skin temperature, and movement insight.
  • Identity & Contact Data: Name, shipping address, and email, collected to manage pilot hardware distribution and communicate essential updates.

3. Consent for Sensitive Data

Under PIPEDA, biometric signals are classified as sensitive. We require explicit, opt-in consent before any biometric signal data is processed from WearQuick prototypes. Participants may withdraw consent at any time, which will halt all signal processing for that individual.

4. Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention

We do not sell, rent, or lease your raw performance or personal data to third parties.

  • Data Retention: We retain information only as long as necessary to fulfill pilot validation goals or as required by Canadian law.
  • De-identification: We aim to aggregate and de-identify pilot learnings where practical, while avoiding public release of raw or individually identifiable prototype-session data.

5. Intended Safeguards & Data Residency

We aim to protect your information using safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data:

  • Encryption Targets: Biometric signals will be encrypted in transit (using TLS 1.3) and at rest (using AES-256 encryption) as part of our technical design targets.
  • Data Sovereignty: We prioritize secure cloud infrastructure located within Canada to ensure protection under Canadian jurisdiction for our domestic operations.

6. Openness & Individual Access

In accordance with PIPEDA, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. You may also request corrections to any inaccurate data. To request disclosure or deletion of your information, please contact us at info@wearquick.ca.

7. Challenging Compliance & Contact Information
