Policy Statement

WearQuick Inc. is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and violence-free workplace. We maintain a strict zero-toleranceapproach toward any form of workplace violence, threats, harassment, or abuse — whether from employees, contractors, customers, or visitors.

Definition of Workplace Violence

Workplace violence at WearQuick Inc. includes, but is not limited to:

  • Physical assault or attempted assault
  • Threats, intimidation, or aggressive behaviour
  • Verbal or written harassment, including online harassment
  • Domestic violence affecting the workplace

Responsibilities of WearQuick Inc.

  • Establish, maintain, and review this policy
  • Ensure prompt investigation and response to all incidents
  • Provide resources and training to prevent workplace violence
  • Act immediately upon becoming aware of an incident
  • Ensure proper reporting and documentation
  • Support affected employees and mitigate risks

Procedures to Follow

I. If violence occurs or is suspected

Ensure immediate safety.
  • Move to a safe location away from danger.
  • Call 911 or site security if there is a direct threat.

Report the incident.
  • Contact your supervisor or HR directly.
  • If uncomfortable doing so, use the anonymous reporting method.

Document the incident.
  • Complete the Workplace Violence Report Form.
  • Include date, time, people involved, and a description of the event.

II. Mechanisms to address and correct workplace violence

These mechanisms include complaints policies and protocols, dispute-resolution procedures, designated employee representatives or resource persons, employment counselling services, and anonymous tip lines.

  1. Investigation process.
    • Investigation begins within 24–72 hours of the report.
    • All involved parties will be interviewed respectfully and confidentially.
    • Findings will be documented and securely stored.
  2. Corrective measures.
    • Disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.
    • Police involvement if criminal activity is suspected.
    • Adjustments to work duties or location if needed.
  3. Support for affected employees.
    • Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
    • Paid leave, modified duties, or relocation support if necessary.
    • Regular check-ins to ensure continued safety and wellbeing.
  4. Confidentiality.
    • All reports will be handled confidentially, with details shared only on a need-to-know basis.
  5. Training & awareness.
    • All employees will receive training on workplace violence prevention.
    • Employees must sign an acknowledgement form to confirm understanding.
